BS 31100:2008, Risk Management. Code of Practice

Proper structuring of management challenges in organizations is one of the cornerstones of corporate sustainability.

This included managing the challenges of both the risks (which generates negative consequences and opportunities (which generates positive consequences). Traditionally, and myopically, have developed methodologies for more structured way to manage risks opportunities.

In this scenario appears 31100:2008 BS, Risk Management, Code of Praxis, published on October 31 2008, and can be purchased from BSI . To our knowledge, no plans attached certificate scheme (which does not mean it can not be proved confome / compliance with it)

The standard focuses on the corporate level and not on specific types of risk (financial , country, operational, IT, ...).

A standard risk management is not new, existing previous ones as the Australian-Zeeland (the last version I have not analyzed). I have the impression that it meets the modern vision and is prepared to fit naturally in process management (read the draft for public comment and even proposed some). I walk and I will publish an analysis of it as soon as the scan ...

Until that analysis, I remain hopeful that the standard will help us clear the confusion methods for the term "risk management".

Legacy of quality methodologies, the "quality management" is the usual way of talking about the process of "quality assurance" process to ensure that customer needs are met.

abuse the word methodological management ends up creating confusion between the process of securing management (which customer needs are met) with general corporate governance where is undergoing the process of underwriting. Unless prior knowledge, just address them considering that they are managing, not well understood that someone proposes to make quality management compentent management removing .... Because of this methodological confusion then you have to go it clear that quality management is the paperwork (wrong) and as a product attribute is the result of work of all involved and not responsible for the process of securing ...

In the management of the challenges is the Board of Directors and top executives who set the guidelines and actually manage organizational risk.

Other, without taking important but taking it to their level, help to deploy these guidelines and risk management. So secretly dreams do not end up calling the risk management process management to ensure that the organization manages its risks ...

soon,
Do not miss Corporate Sustainability. Carlos Bandar

"Towards fair company" by Joaquín Garralda

Introduction This 4th of November, was presented at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) the book "Toward the company reasonable" D. Joaquín Garralda, foreword by D. Ramon Jauregui and collaboration with PWC, IE, and Center PwC & IE Corporate Responsibility , which I had the opportunity to attend.

The book
Pampillón
D. Joaquín Garralda presents us their thoughts and views on reasonable company, which is capable of bringing rationality and RC overcoming deep into reasonableness.

already goes to the reader, for the sake of transparency, I am not a neutral party to talk about the book, which distills, entertaining and concise way, those lessons that I was fortunate to hear first hand in their classes in the IE, of which I've always enjoyed, even with a memory in style to the award I received from a prince of Asturias.

However, caveat emptor will apply a (which I will adapt the foreword to the book by D. Ramón Jáuregui): You may separate us some nuances and visions, why not on ideology, I know of two in the plane do not conflict is the matter that is-but surely we share many aspects and basic principles of sustainable agriculture, and this book certainly adds.

D. Joaquin

If it is due to talk about the presentation table, first class, go ahead by the author.

I

heard that if we are unemployed, some municipalities go bankrupt. Is not it obvious that they are stealing the treasury for use in other things? Is incomprehensible that the municipalities only for not receiving the state grant to fail, it is shown that depend on these monies are not really for anything other than education.

Today there are many ideas on how to move differently, there are some that I can not for a privacy issue, but others such as: organized and choose a day to go to register us all to exercise voting (vote). Senators react to this, it is known that the majority of the votes are always well positioned from people who are socially or right, to say the least. If this works, we are presenting a major force at the time of voting for someone. And of course, vote for those who want. And remember, this very evil that the young and poor or who do not like the system does not register, how to change the system is to register. I hope it can carry out this idea. -----------------

Lump In Leg After Cardiac Cath

Spain has found that of 100 children, about 8 to 12 have asthma. In Andalusia, one of 10 children and adolescents with asthma and in many cases its control and monitoring is suboptimal for several reasons.
Our healthcare institutions have placed children's asthma as a priority for the coming years and has structured a program of monitoring and control diagnostics for Andalusia in the spotlight are our teenagers and young people with asthma, including their attention on the school where he spends almost a third of the day. We can summarize the reasons why teachers should have information about a disease such as asthma, the following points:
- Frequency. Asthma is the most common chronic disease in childhood. The number of children with asthma make all teachers, at one time or another come into contact with students who have the disease
- Possibility of detection. 5-6 hours spent by a child at school / college, facilitates the detection of symptoms and diagnosis or follow-up changes in those children already diagnosed with asthma.
-
or Consequences school absenteeism: the condition of crisis, medical consultations which should go when your asthma is poorly controlled and sometimes by the hospital when they present are serious crisis.
or decrease in school performance, as a result of absenteeism.
- Ability to control the disease by knowing and applying appropriate measures

or Medical Treatment and Sanitary / Preventative.

Sticking Pain In Left Heel

Explanation of Problem and Why Students will mobilize

CHILEAN STUDENTS ATTENTION!

You, pupil, student, teacher, student organizations chairman, Mr, Mrs, inspector, attorney and citizen of Chile.

READ THIS AND SUPPORT OUR FIGHT not cease until the goal.

hand, they do not like other times, the current student movement is based on clear grounds, and the struggle for a better education. The LGE or General Education Law (draft law that will change the LOCE) does not. Then explain why.
other hand, stated that our goal is NOT to miss school or wander, each to support the cause must feel involved and do something for her. Do not stay in bed at home. -----

After time fighting for better education and so-called Penguin Revolution finally got something: a new law to replace the LOCE and change education. LGE.

What's wrong?
Look, you yourself can review the LGE and you will notice that it is very, very similar to the LOCE and most importantly, does not solve the problem of education in Chile which is the real objective of the mobilization. Furthermore, the LGE arises from an agreement between 2 parties Concertación and the Alliance. I think the issue is not to decide among a few.

What is the problem of education?
The great problem of education is mainly in subsidized and municipal schools. What happens is that the education service is bad. A private schools have no business this situation because in this case the service is fully paid by users, the government is not responsible for the quality of service. I ask that those schools do not feel excluded because they are also students at the end of the day. Continuing in Chile is valid profit from education, this is not bad at all, only while ensuring good service but the problem is that there is no way. Explaining: Each school has a subsidized and municipal holder who receives money from their respective municipality for each student present and in the case of subsidized also receives , money from users (parents of students). Would be about $ 100000 per student this month. Estimated figure, often much more. From here comes a big business. Ie assumes that the money is to invest in the school itself and ensure a good service but it does not, the holder it does is try to reduce as many costs and thus keep more money for him. This is one of the main problems: If we want quality education must begin by educating those of us who are good at what they do. Not so for two reasons: first, the preparation in college is very basic and should be chosen well for teachers, virtually everyone who wants to be a teacher, it is regardless of their ability. Second, the teacher's salary is not enough for professional growth as well but were overcome not get paid more, so have no incentive. To make myself understood, teachers are paid the 4 th part of that work. If you work 1 hour a week and the time is worth $ 7000. Per month (4 weeks) you pay only $ 7000, ie the first week of work. Here is the case here. aforra The holder is because there is another word, it aforra money. And, to top it off, the bit holder is audited. Thus, the goal of anyone opening a school is not to educate, is to make money. You can educate according to the method you want (there are cases in which college students learn and study when they want or they want, they decide, they are not encouraged), so who learn! Only requires a very low standard that would be one way to supervise, the SIMCE.

why the government does nothing? It
that they who run the country are also holders, or their friends are, or family ... etc. The fact is that there is contact between the supporters and political parties and other leaders. Then not suit in any way to change things because they lose money . In fact, the Presidential Advisory Council was to discuss the LOCE and submit a report which would prepare another bill (LGE), was composed of 81 "adept" in the field of education between which were nothing more and nothing less than more power holders. It's all a closed to ensure profit.

criticizes the LGE.
The LGE although much like the changes at some points LOCE content, apart from having a very nice set of words unsubstantiated. Some of the most notorious:
-LGE is stated in the following change: 6 years basic education, secondary education 6. / Why?, I do not know.
-selection is prohibited for entry to schools (1 st to 6 th grade) over the previous year's average or test admission. / Then you have to select according to residence, socio-economic, pituto, or otherwise, is discrimination and can not select them. Also do not value the student's abilities. This, though it is prohibited by law, it is impossible to avoid. Proposes
-holders to deliver more money to schools with children at risk. / That, entreguémosle holders more money, why the hell not give money directly families in social risk?
-spoken of controlling but not how and penalties are up to 50 UTM (about 2 million), nothing same for the supporters.
-spoken QUALITY OF EDUCATION without even defining the concept.
"He speaks of a Superintendent of Education to audit the holder. / What would the superintendent to ensure that pay holders a disservice? Does not say.
-It is said that the supporters should be publicly accountable for their money movements. / How public is it? "All I can see? How true is this public account? I hope that the account holder does not make it alone, otherwise clear it does not matter if you have it or not.

FINALLY:

IS A CHANGE TO EDUCATION OR PLAY FOR STUDENTS AND SHUT calm the waters?
